What is Nirudishie?
Nirudishie is a personal loan tracking platform built for Kenyans. It helps you record loans you have given to friends or family, send automated email reminders, and track repayments - all in one place.
What does "Nirudishie" mean?
Nirudishie is a Swahili word meaning "pay me back" or "return it to me." It reflects our mission: helping you recover money you are owed without awkward conversations.
Who is Nirudishie for?
Anyone who lends money to friends, family, or colleagues. Whether you track 2 loans or 200, Nirudishie keeps everything organised and sends reminders on your behalf.
Is Nirudishie a money lending service?
No. Nirudishie does not lend money. We are purely a tracking and reminder platform. The loans you record are personal loans you have already made to someone you know.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan allows you to track up to 10 active loans with basic email reminders at no cost. You can upgrade to Pro at any time for unlimited loans and advanced features.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel from your account settings at any time. Your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period, then your account moves to the Free plan.
How does the repayment link work?
When you add a loan, Nirudishie can generate a secure borrower tracking link. The borrower can use it to submit a payment request tied to the loan, and you can then record or review the repayment from your side of the workflow.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard AES-256 and TLS 1.3. We never sell or share your financial data with third parties.
Can I export my loan data?
Yes. You can export your history as a CSV file from the history page. PDF-style exports are not available yet.
What happens if a borrower pays outside the app?
You can manually log repayments directly from your dashboard. Just find the loan, click "Log Payment," and enter the amount and date. Your balance and progress will update immediately.
